Lock Down

from $25.00

oil on canvas 2023- This piece depicts a memory of my experience in the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. I was living in downtown Oakland, California at the time that the shelter-in-place and essential business mandates went into place. The street that my roommate and I were riding our bikes down was entirely empty with the exception of ourselves and a trepidatious deer that had wandered in from the forest. Throughout all of the chaos of the pandemic, nature was given the chance to heal for a moment.
